Kerry Underwood

Hi, I’m Kerry Underwood, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Since 2010, I’ve worked with individuals and couples across the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, helping them move toward deeper connection, clarity, and emotional well-being. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from John Brown University and have been in private practice since that time. My clinical training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR.

My work centers primarily on couples and women, with a focus on relationships, attachment, and the patterns that shape how we experience ourselves and others. I believe that meaningful change begins in a space where you feel both deeply understood and gently challenged.

Entering counseling is a significant and often vulnerable decision. Whether you are navigating relationship distress, personal transitions, or long-standing patterns, I offer a calm, grounded environment where you can slow down, gain insight, and do meaningful work. My approach is both compassionate and direct, guiding you toward greater awareness, healing, and more secure ways of relating.

At the core of my work is the belief that we are wired for connection. When we begin to understand our stories and shift the cycles that keep us stuck, new possibilities emerge for ourselves and for our relationships.

Outside of my practice, I enjoy life with my husband and our three sons. We are most at home outdoors—traveling, hiking, camping, and spending time near the water whenever we can.
