John Skelly

I’m John Skelly.  I have spent the last 20 years working with people who are anxious or depressed or struggling to move through the stuck places in their lives.  I have a Masters Degree in Community Counseling from John Brown University.  I earned an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification from the Arkansas Substance Abuse Board.  I have previously served as an adjunct professor for John Brown University as well.

My therapy style is encouraging and hope-filled. I like to focus on solutions and encouragement. That said, I will tell you the truth in the most loving way that I can. I consider myself a partner to my clients, working with them rather than for them. I come alongside and help them to see what they might be able to change, and I encourage that change. I address issues from the past with a focus on a future filled with hope, moving toward healing and wholeness. I want to help my clients be better connected to others, and to themselves. I would be honored to work with you!
